Weather you are celebrating Halloween on the High Seas on a Disney Cruise, watching the Boo To You Parade at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, living it up at Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash, or in spirit from somewhere else, I hope your Halloween is full of magical memories.

🎃 This might be Disney’s best kept Halloween secret…

You know the Headless Horseman makes his famous ride down Main Street of the Magic Kingdom before the Boo to You Parade at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. But did you know there’s another place you might spot him?

On All Hallows Eve the Headless Horseman has been known to make a rare appearance at Tri Circle D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, typically just after sunset!

This appearance is never announced or guaranteed, and conditions have to be just right for him to come out.

In past years he has appeared just after sunset on October 30th; after the golf cart parade but before the Beach Bash. This year Fort Wilderness has moved all of the Halloween activities to the 31st. Do you think the Horseman will appear on the 30th again? Or do you expect he will appear on Halloween this year? I know I’ll be hanging around Tri Circle D Ranch at sunset each night to see!

Everyone hears the iconic Disney Cruise ship horn during the Sail Away Party, but many Disney cruisers miss out on hearing it again.

Here’s a secret you won’t find on your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app itinerary though…Every sea day, exactly at noon, the ship sounds its horn!

If you are sailing the Disney Wish, Treasure, or Destiny you’ll want to be on Deck 14 Forward, near the Chip ’n Dale Pool, for the best listening experience. You’ll be right by the horn, so it will be LOUD! You might even want to cover your ears!

If you prefer not to blow out your ear drums you can also hear it from the open decks or your stateroom verandah

The Disney Treasure had a safety inspection by the Coast Guard on the day we disembarked so we got a rare look at the interior of one of the lifeboats. Can you imagine fitting 314 people in there? 😳 I sure hope I never have to use one!
