A frosty start to the day on the Mount Washington Course at Bretton Woods, but the sun is shining and warming up the course!

Hi, I’m Céline McArthur, and we’re continuing our hole-by-hole look at the iconic Donald Ross-designed golf course at Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa.

After the challenge of Holes 13 and 14, Hole 15 gives you a chance to settle down. Braxton Brown rates this short Par 4 a 4 out of 10, but there’s still a bunker and a tricky false front waiting at the green.

Braxton explains why this is a good hole to keep things simple, find the fairway and give yourself a comfortable approach.

Sometimes a little restraint is all you need.

Hello everyone, I’m Céline McArthur here at the Mount Washington Course at Bretton Woods to continue our series with Braxton Brown, breaking down all 18 holes and what makes each one unique.

Hole 14 gets a 10 out of 10. You need to carry 200+ yards over trouble, hit a precise shot and hope you don’t end up with a 100-foot putt. No pressure!

Braxton’s advice? Aim for the middle of the green. And take a moment to enjoy the view. This one is hard to beat.

HOLE 13: TRUST YOUR SHOT

Hello everyone, I’m Celine McArthur here at the Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa, continuing our series with Assistant Golf Professional Braxton Brown to show you what makes each hole on the Mount Washington Course unique and worth playing.

Hole 13 is a shorter par 4 with a blind, uphill approach and deep bunkers hiding to the right. Braxton rates it a 7 on the Braxton Scale of Difficulty.

His advice? Favor the left, trust your shot and don't go long. The payoff? A stunning mountain view.

Hole 12 is a short Par 4, and Braxton Brown rates it just a 2 or 3 out of 10. But the elevation change creates a blind shot that can make this hole look a little more complicated than it really is.

Braxton shows us how to position your tee shot and why the middle of the green is the smart target.

Sometimes the best strategy is simply not making the hole harder than it needs to be.
