EXECUTIVE ORDER: No Outside Burning

Effective September 4, 2026 until further notice.

No outside burning order for all areas of Barren County effective immediately. This ban includes the lighting of fireworks and burning of any material outdoors. The burn ban will be in effect until lifted by revocation of this order after the hazardous conditions have been abated by sufficient rainfall.

Campfires that are contained in a fire pit within an established campground are Exempt from this order.
