After years of enduring a line of sight impairment (due to the brush that has been allowed to over grow)from the runway 18 run up area it has finally been cleared. Amazing how much better a pilot feels when they can see a potential incursion before it happens.

What a day…… Got up early, had a great flight with my client, who’s just an awesome guy and I really enjoy working with. Then I got chewed out by our fake airport manager for doing the airport users a huge favor to increase safety around here. Then took a motorcycle ride in the woods with my daughter, and just sat near this little creek to relax for a bit. The down time at the end of the day was very important.

Once again I had the best luck with the greatest people finding me. The past two weeks we’ve worked hard and flown both the Gyroplane and the fixed wing aircraft quite a bit. Gary and Robert are both wonderful clients and have come a long way toward achieving their aviation goals while helping Captain Drake’s Flight school continue to be the fun, safe,and rewarding learning environment everyone loves.
