McMenamins Olympic Club In central Washington State, The Olympic Club Hotel's legend looms large.

Here you'll find a historic building – filled with warm woods and period details – steeped in colorful tales of countless gamblers' jackpots, revenuer raids, dark secrets deeply buried, and a famous bandit's bravado. The Olympic Club has been a point of power, intrigue and contention since opening in 1908. Its name evokes heroic gods of ancient Herculean characters, the exploits of whom are now the stuff of modern legend. McMenamins has expanded upon the Olympic Club's traditional definition of a workingman's resort by welcoming the whole family to enjoy lodging, meals, movies, art, history, sport and special events. Throughout the Olympic Club historic photographs and extensive original artwork chronicle the building's intriguing history.

The veil is thinning, and we're down to our final day of Samhain. 👻

Halloween is your LAST chance to experience the Samhain pop-up at the New Tourist Bar before it disappears into the Otherworld. The spooky drinks are flowing, the snacks are serving, and the vibes are just a little extra eerie.

Grab an El Diablo or N/A Jack-o’-Lantern Mule, snack on Ichabod’s Slider Trio or Herman Muenster Grilled Cheese Toasties, and don’t forget your Passport if you’re collecting stamps!

The spirits are calling, and the clock is ticking. If you haven't made it in yet, today's the day...

Never underestimate the guy at the pool table who looks like he has nothing to lose. Especially when he actually has nothing to lose. 🎱

Pub Assistant Manager Cody has a favorite Olympic Club story about a regular named Ray, who once accepted a stranger’s $100 pool challenge with just five bucks in his wallet. Ray broke, ran the table, and sent his opponent into a spiral of increasingly bad decisions. The stranger kept raising the stakes. Ray kept winning. Three games later, Ray walked away with $850.

When Cody heard the whole story, Ray showed him his nearly empty wallet and said, “With me, I got lots of faith.”

Five dollars to his name and enough confidence to take on the whole pool hall. Now that’s an Olympic Club legend. 🍻

New seasonal specials just dropped, and suddenly we're making lunch plans.

We're talking a Saigon Beef Dip piled high with prime rib, all the fixings, and a side of pho broth for dipping (fries or tots included, of course). And because one good thing deserves another, we've got crispy, battered Tillamook cheese curds with our Highly Irregular Ketchup on the side.

Just saying… your usual order might have some competition. 👀

Some places are for sleeping. Some places are for drinking.

Some places have a movie theater, pool tables, historic photos, and enough personality to make you forget what you came in for. 💁‍♀️

The Olympic Club has been standing for 118 years, and it has stories. ✨

Built in 1908, the building caught fire and had to be rebuilt in 1913, taking on the beautiful Art Nouveau style you see today.

Then came Prohibition. And while the “secret” tunnels underneath the building are closed off today, back in the 1920s they were used to smuggle prohibited goods into the building. 👀

And if you look hard enough, you can still find a pickle barrel with a false bottom somewhere in the pub.

The McMenamins family purchased the Olympic Club in 1996, adding another chapter to a building that had already lived through more than most.

Next time you're here, remember you’re not just sitting in an old pub. You’re sitting inside 118 years of stories. 🍻
