Our property offers a sense of tranquility amongst the Zen rock gardens, multiple waterfalls & fountains, Koi pond, local art and many unique plantings. Eleven single story buildings are spread throughout the unique gardens offering a relaxing & private experience. The variety of room types, from a comfortable hotel room to a fully furnished, inviting, two bedroom cottage, offer all guests different choices for accommodations. A seasonal heated pool with a waterfall and hot tub area offers a relaxing spot to spend a day surrounded by rock gardens and matured plantings. Pleasant Bay Village Resort is owned and operated daily by the family who purchased it in the early 1950. All of the Front Desk and many of the maintenance & landscaping staff are locals and enjoy providing guests a native's perspective on how best to explore the area. Some of the best beautifully matured gardens on Cape Cod can be found on this seven acre property.

It was still there during the nor’easter, and guess what? It’s STILL there!

This time, we’re checking in on a beautiful, sunny October day in Chatham. Quite a different scene from the storm, but the boat hasn’t gone anywhere!

🍂 **And just like that, our 2026 season has come to a close!** 💚

Thank you to everyone who stayed with us this year, whether it was your first visit or one of many. We love welcoming you to Chatham, hearing about your Cape Cod adventures, and seeing the photos and videos you share along the way. It’s always fun to see our property and the Cape through your eyes!

While we’re closed for guest stays until **April 22, 2027**, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes. We’ll be working on annual renovations, making updates throughout the property, and tending to the grounds as we get everything ready for another season.

A unique view of the koi pond you don’t often get to see! 🍁🐟
From above, you get a sense of the variety of colorful trees surrounding the water, the koi swimming below, and the building that’s home to our Deluxe Queen Room on the Pond. It’s a different perspective on a little corner of Pleasant Bay Village that we love sharing.

🌳 Our 7 acres are filled with all kinds of trees—towering pines, Japanese maples, ornamental trees, and plenty of trees that have been part of the property for years.
They’re part of what gives different corners of the property their own character, from shady spots to colorful fall foliage and everything in between.

Take a walk around and you’ll see why we think the trees deserve a little attention, too.

Looking for a nice walk while you’re in Chatham?

Walk up Fox Hill Road, right across from our hotel, and you’ll find beautiful views of Pleasant Bay along the way. Some of the views stretch over Eastward Ho!, one of the Cape's well-known private golf courses.

It’s about 1.7 miles to the end at Strong Island Road, where you’ll have a full view of the water, so you can enjoy a good walk while taking in the views along the way. 🌊

Some seals were floating in the crystal clear water, while others were resting on the sand. They seem to have found a pretty good place to spend their afternoon.

The forecast had us expecting quite a bit, but thankfully, it turned out to be mostly a wind and rain event.
These videos are from beaches and waterfronts around Chatham, Orleans and Brewster. Definitely windy, definitely wet, but not the big storm we were expecting.

That boat is still stuck on the sandbar in Chatham. Now this nor’easter has arrived, and at high tide, it’s almost completely underwater.
