What does a Summerhill bison share cost?

Our fall harvest is priced at:

• $9 per pound hanging weight
• Plus $1.25 per pound hanging weight for cut and wrap

For example, a quarter weighing 150 pounds hanging would cost $1,350 for the share and $187.50 for cut and wrap—a combined $1,537.50 before any additional fees.

That’s an example, not a guaranteed weight. Hanging weight is measured before cutting and packaging, so the amount of meat you take home will be lower.

This is a substantial freezer purchase, and we’re happy to answer your questions before you commit.

With only two bison in this harvest, message BISON to check availability.

Something special for your family’s table.

A bison share is a chance to plan meals around quality meat purchased directly from a farm you know.

Before choosing your share, we’ll help you understand the planned cuts, estimated quantity, total cost, and pickup arrangements.

Whether you’re interested in a quarter or a half, we want you to feel confident about what you’re buying.

Our October harvest includes just two bison.

Message BISON for current availability and share information.

There’s something meaningful about knowing the people behind your food.

For us, Summerhill Farm is the place where our family lives, works, and cares for the animals. Offering food from the farm is a responsibility we take seriously.

This October, we’re offering quarter and half bison shares from a harvest of just two animals.

We’d love to connect with households looking for quality bison and a direct relationship with their farmer.

Shares are $9/lb hanging weight, plus $1.25/lb for cut and wrap.

Message BISON, and I’ll walk you through the details.

Good food begins with good care.

When we think about quality at Summerhill Farm, we think about the animals long before we think about the finished product.

We want our bison healthy and well cared for. That means paying attention to their needs and making their care part of the daily work of the farm.

This month, we have a limited harvest of two bison, with quarter and half shares available.

If knowing more about where your food comes from matters to you, we welcome your questions about our animals and how we raise them.

Message BISON to learn more.

Two bison. One limited fall harvest at Summerhill Farm.

We’re offering quarter and half shares from our October bison harvest to families who value quality food and a connection to the farm behind it.

Our bison are an important part of Summerhill, and caring for them is part of our everyday farm life.

With just two animals in this harvest, availability is limited.

• $9/lb hanging weight
• Plus $1.25/lb hanging weight for cut and wrap

Final cost depends on actual hanging weight. Packaged take-home weight will be lower.

Message BISON for availability and the details you need before reserving.

🔥 Summerhill Farm Fire & Air Quality Update
We know many of you have been watching the wildfire and smoke conditions around Central Washington, so we wanted to share an update for anyone planning a visit to Summerhill Farm.
The good news: we are open, safe, and operating normally. The active fires shown on the maps are well away from our immediate area and developed communities, and we are not currently under any evacuation orders or expecting evacuation concerns at the farm.
🌫️ Air Quality:
Smoke has definitely been an issue throughout the region over the past several days — and unfortunately, much of Washington is experiencing smoky conditions during what has been a very active fire season.
Thankfully, we are already seeing a lot of improvement in the Lake Chelan Valley, and we’re optimistic that conditions will continue to improve over the weekend. Light winds in the forecast should help move some of the lingering smoke out of the valley.
One thing our guests may also notice is that air quality can often be better up here at the farm than down along the lake and valley floor. Because we sit higher above the valley, smoke conditions can vary quite a bit depending on the day and wind direction.
❤️ What we want our guests to know:
Summerhill Farm RV Park is OPEN
We are SAFE and not under evacuation orders
The fires are away from our immediate area
Smoke has been improving
Conditions can change throughout the day, but we’re hopeful for continued improvement this weekend
If you have a reservation with us, there is currently no reason to cancel your trip based on fire danger at Summerhill Farm. We’ll continue keeping a close eye on conditions and will communicate with our guests if anything meaningfully changes.
We’re looking forward to a beautiful weekend at the farm and hope to see you soon! 🌻🐴🏕️
Feel free to share this post with anyone wondering about conditions in the Lake Chelan area.

🌻🐴 **Limited Spaces Still Available for Horse Camp and Little Farmers Camp!** 🐴🌻

Join us at Summerhill Farm on **August 10, 11 and 12** for three days of hands-on farm fun!

Our campers will enjoy age-appropriate activities with the horses and farm animals, learn about life on the farm, and make special summer memories along the way. We still have a few spaces available and would love to have your child join us!

Because wildfire smoke conditions can change quickly, camp is currently **planned to proceed as scheduled, weather and air-quality permitting**. The health and safety of our campers, staff and animals will always come first.

We will closely monitor the air quality here at the farm and communicate directly with registered families if any schedule changes become necessary. If camp must be canceled because of unhealthy air quality, families will have the choice of transferring to a rescheduled date or receiving a full refund.

Don’t miss out—reserve your child’s space today!
