Hi, it's Jon & Janet.
We just wanted to jump on here and tell our staff, mostly family members, what an awesome job you're doing. The numbers and 5 star reviews don't lie. Business is up, business is great because of you. Business has never been better, because our team runs an awesome campground.
We've had a tough start to the summer with several long time customers thinking that defines them as a "Good customer". Well, it doesn't. A "Good customer" is defined by how you act while you're here and how you treat our people and other campers. A good customer doesn't disrespect or badger our employees. They don't make snide or insulting comments within earshot of the employee with the sole intent of hurting them. Claiming to "know Jon & Janet personally" won't get you anywhere. Especially when you're talking to our family members. We've know them a lot longer than we've known you. We will never lose a good employee to placate a bad customer. Take your Mean Girls act somewhere else. Especially since most of you acted the same way while we were there full time. It's getting old.
Good customers don't try to sneak extra people into their campsites without paying for them, as that is the same as stealing from us. We always know.
Good customers don't show up hours early for check-in then throw a temper tantrum when they're not allowed to.
Good customers don't come 3 hours early to check-into a cabin, badger our cleaner to hurry up, then spend the week claiming that they missed something when they cleaned.
Good customers don't come during June & July, by far our busiest months, and then complain about how busy we are. If you don't want busy, come some other time of the year.
Indian Creek is a special, revered place. It is supposed to be a place of calm relaxation, joy and peace. We will always strive to make it that. If you bring stress and chaos, you will not be welcome back. If you make our employees want to quit, you won't be back.
There will be some long time customers getting a rude awakening very soon when they find their reservations for next year cancelled. We have long waiting lists of people that would gladly take your spot and not be horrible while they're here.
We know who the real "Good customers" are and we thank you.
