From the Lake George Association...

Lake George has officially frozen over for the second consecutive year! The full ice-over date was Monday, January 26, 2026.

This year's date marks just a week later than the average annual ice-over date (of years that this does occur) of January 19.

This image is the first clear satellite view of the full ice-over, taken just yesterday on January 29, 2026, from Copernicus Sentinel-2 - satellites that orbit the Earth and directly fly over Lake George every 2 to 3 days.

November decided to go out with a bang! 💥

We've picked up around 5 inches of snow so far today, and it's still coming down! With more winter weather on the horizon, December is looking real good.
