Chloe, our greeter cat whom you may have met on your journeys crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. Life around the inn will never be the same without her. She was a kind and gentle soul, incredibly smart, and an amazing communicator with her human counterparts. Rest well sweet girl.

If you were snowed Inn with us, this would have been your breakfast: cubed leftover prime rib, hash browns with onions and cheese, and homemade red Chile sauce over fried eggs. It doesn’t get any better!

Hey, Cimarron and area friends come see Jenne McIntosh at the Blu Dragonfly Brewing Cimarron tap room tonight! She's an amazing singer/songwriter from the Taos area. We plan to host her a few more times this summer. Kitchen is still closed, feel free to bring a picnic dinner or grab a pizza from our friends at Cimarron House of Pizza next door.

We typically do not entertain children under 12 at the Inn to keep the atmosphere peaceful and relaxing. But, if all little ones were like the family of six that stayed last night, I'd welcome them all. "yes, ma'am, no ma'am, thank you" manners, quiet, engaged. Kudos to these parents who parent not only their own but several others in their town as well as take an active part in the school programs in Mosquero that provide real life experience and opportunity for their kids. And down to earth people who wake up early to go clean stalls as a thank you to the person who baby sat their puppies overnight. Talk about gaining renewed hope in humanity!

You just never know who is going to be your next guest. We just had breakfast this morning with one of the key people who developed DNA testing. He literally wrote the book on it. That was some fascinating breakfast conversation!
