Pickaway County Unites to Fight Food Insecurity: Friendly Competition Yields Over 11,500 Donated Items 🥫
Pickaway County, Ohio — Community spirit was on full display this season as city and county organizations teamed up for a friendly — and impactful — food-drive competition to support local families facing food insecurity. All donations will benefit the Community Cupboards of Pickaway County, operated by dedicated volunteers and led by Ken Tennant.
The competition brought out creativity, teamwork, and a healthy dose of good-natured rivalry. Four teams across county and city offices worked tirelessly to collect items, resulting in more than 11,500 donated goods and over $2,500 raised to support local needs.
Final Results
🥇1st Place – “Team Law & Order: Special Christmas Unit”
Probation & Municipal Court
5,213 items collected
🥈2nd Place – “Team Guns & Hoses”
Circleville Police Department & Circleville Fire Department
2,689 items collected
🥉3rd Place – “Team Soup-er Stars”
City of Circleville Administration, Service & Utilities Department, Auditor’s Office, Law Director's Office, Civil Service Commission, and City Council
2,104 items collected
🚨4th Place – “Team Badges & Briefcases”
Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office & County Prosecutor’s Office

The winning team took home the coveted traveling trophy, while the remaining teams will soon face the consequences of defeat — a lighthearted “mock arrest” and the requirement to post at least $500 in bail, all of which will be donated directly to the Community Cupboards.
