Family owned and operated by Licensed Outfitters and Guides Jim and Jill Koch Beamers Hells Canyon Tours has been providing professionally guided jet boat tours and fishing charters on the Snake River of Hells Canyon since 1974. We operate a fleet of US Coast Guard inspected jet boats under (3) separate US Forest Service special use permit's in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area and 2 Special Use Permits on the Clearwater River. We own 2 facilities on the Snake River to serve you, our event venue Heller Bar Lodge located at the confluence of the Snake and Grande Ronde Rivers, and our remote overnight wilderness camp including a main lodge and 23 private cabins- Copper Creek Lodge is only accessible by boat and is located in the Wallowa Whitman National Forest.

"Idaho Queen II one of several "Idaho Queen" vessels owned and operated by Captain Dick Rivers. Rivers received the U.S. Mail delivery contract for Hells Canyon, from Lewiston to Johnson Bar, in 1958. He was also the first licensed power boat operator to attain an outfitters and guide license for Hells Canyon. He owned and operated Rivers Navigation from 1959 until 1983, when he sold the business to Beamers Hells Canyon Tours, where we continue to operate the oldest permit to guide in the Hells Canyon in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area.

HELL-O OCTOBER...a face carved by time with the daytime moon hanging above it as if it were placed there on purpose. Some believe the old faces in the rocks are reminders that those who came before us never truly left! We're heading into SPOOKY season Hells Canyon Style!

Cloud iridescence is relatively rare. The cloud must be thin and have lots of water droplets the same size. Then when the sun's rays encounter the semi-transparent cloud it produces a delicate and mesmerizing display...like this one-going on RIGHT NOW over the Snake River of Hells Canyon!
