Our campus consists of 50 acres of gentle slopes and mature trees, a small section of woods surrounded by the natural beauty of Southern Indiana Farmland. It is place where for over 75 years lives are being changed. Changed by the grace of our loving God who provides, protects and cares for us. Wabash Park and Retreat Center has a state of the art pavilion, dining hall, lodges, meeting rooms, a yo

uth center, rustic cabins in wooded areas and recreational facilities. Our aim is to provide an atmosphere for Christ centered growth, both individually and corporately. We invite you to consider booking your next retreat or conference event at Wabash Park Camp and Retreat Center. We will welcome you with gracious hospitality, great food, and a place for rest and renewal.

🌩️ Camper Safety During Severe Weather 🌩️

As we welcome campers to Wabash Park Camp & Retreat Center this summer, we want parents to know that camper safety is always our highest priority.

Our staff are trained and prepared to respond to changing weather conditions. We actively monitor weather forecasts, radar, and conditions throughout the day and evening.

If severe weather approaches:

✅ Campers and staff will be directed to designated shelter locations.
✅ The Pavilion serves as our primary gathering and shelter area.
✅ If weather conditions make travel to the Pavilion unsafe, campers will shelter in our new Youth Bathhouse, which provides a strong, centrally located structure near the cabins.
✅ Staff members are assigned to supervise and assist campers at all times during weather-related situations.
✅ We maintain communication plans to keep families informed should significant issues arise.

While we pray for safe and enjoyable weather, we are committed to being prepared for every situation so that parents can have confidence their campers are well cared for.

Thank you for trusting us with your children as they experience Christ, build friendships, and hear the whisper of God this summer.

We are thrilled to welcome Jerry and Jan Coleman as our Family Camp pastors this year! Jerry will be our evening speaker, and Jan will serve as the morning scripture teacher. We look forward to experiencing how the Lord works through them during their time with us!

___

For 17 years, Jerry and his wife, Jan, served as missionaries in Europe with the Free Methodist Church. The last 11 years he served as the overseer for continental Europe. Since joining the Francis Asbury Society in 2013 Jerry’s call to the nations is becoming more realized as he has had the opportunity to preach and teach in over 70 countries in the world.

A career in his family’s business was redirected when Jerry felt a call to full-time ministry in the early 1980s. He was ordained in 1987 in the Free Methodist Church and pastored two churches in the USA. Jerry served as the assistant director of VISA and personnel for Free Methodist World Missions before moving with his family to Europe in 1996.

Jerry is a graduate of Greenville College, now University (Greenville, IL), and Asbury Theological Seminary (Wilmore, KY).

Jan Coleman’s training and experience is in education. She taught English in public schools and English as a foreign language to adult learners. Jan uses her platform as a teacher of English as a stepstool for evangelism. As a member of the church planting team in Budapest, Hungary, she also had regular opportunities to teach, preach, and lead worship in the Hungarian language. Since returning to the USA in 2013, Jan has had the privilege of traveling with Jerry both as companion and as a fellow evangelist.
Jerry and Jan have three married children: Sarah (Russell), Kristin (Spencer), and David (Alison); and seven grandchildren.

To hear more of their story, read Jerry’s book, One Way Ticket: Leaving Home for Good.
