✨ Good things really do come to those who wait. ✨

Ever since I bought the Lodge, I have always dreamed of replacing the tiny dining room-sized chandelier in our main space with a large statement piece that truly fits the room. The space has always called for something grand, beautiful, and special, but for years, I just couldn’t quite pull the trigger.

I scoured the internet more times than I can count, and while I probably could have spent thousands on a brand-new chandelier, there was always something else that needed attention first. That’s the thing about running this place: there is always another project, another repair, another “maybe next year.”

But after seven years of waiting, patience proved to be a virtue.

We recently found the most beautiful statement piece chandelier, and it could not be more perfect for Highland Lodge. A very special thank you to The Blind Horse Restaurant & Winery for the chandelier; it truly feels like it was meant for the great room, and I am so happy it found its way here!

This chandelier has been a long time coming, and seeing it finally hanging in the great room is such a special moment for me. It’s one of those little reminders that sometimes the best things don’t happen right away… but when they do, they are worth the wait.

And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who helped wrestle this beauty into place. Thank you, fam, and especially Dan Kaderabek . We could not have done it without you. ❤️

🔴 NOW HIRING – SUMMER HELP 🔴

We’re looking for some extra help at Highland Lodge this Spring/Summer!

This is mainly a housekeeping + laundry position, helping us keep the lodge clean and guest-ready. Highland Lodge is a small, family-run business, so we’re looking for someone reliable who takes pride in their work and pays attention to the little details.

A few things to know:

* This is a physical job (lots of stairs, lifting, and being on your feet)
* You’ll be using cleaning products/chemicals.
* Fast-paced, especially on turnover days
* We’ll provide weekly scheduling guidance, with the biggest need typically on Sundays & Mondays
* Hours can vary and may also include gardening/landscaping tasks, along with housekeeping and laundry.

We’re looking for someone who:

* Shows up on time (non-negotiable 🙂)
* Has a strong attention to detail
* Is dependable and has a good attitude

Perks:

* Flexible-ish hours depending on bookings
* Potential for additional hours (including front desk hours)
* Opportunity for growth within the lodge
* Occasional meal perks
