Have you ever seen one of our Iconic Red L’Nique Box Trucks out in the wild??

These trucks leave our warehouse in Hub Parkway (just south of Cleveland) almost every day.

If you tuned in on our last post… you saw how these trucks get loaded up with all the goodies and make their way out to towns / venues near you.

Once the event(s) conclude, our drivers are ready to pick up the goods and head back to Hub and start the wash process (sharing next).

Upon pickup - drivers inspect the linens / napkins for candle wax drips and other dinner stains to prepare for the wash process (stuck on wax gets special treatment before the wash cycle!)

They also check for any dampness and water spots. This is very crucial for our drivers to inspect.

Fun Fact: Certain linens of ours need to be dried out ~ completely ~ before getting bagged back up or mold will set in VERY quickly!

Lined up and ready for delivery!

This is what an average Wednesday looks like 🤩

While this isn’t actually today’s items - this WAS captured on a Wednesday.

Now imagine what a Friday looks like for all those weekend events!

Here, the racks are organized, labeled, and strategically prepared for the trucks to load up.

Each driver then double (triple) checks that everything is correct and accounted for in their assigned delivery route… and off they go!

This may look like a crazy maze of linens - but there’s a system to the chaos - and our drivers know exactly what section goes onto their truck, and what needs dropped off at each point along the way.

Working away fulfilling orders for you!! ♥️

Today we take you into the process of fulfilling orders - where we are bagging linens / napkins and preparing them for the next part of the process - which will be lining them up for truck loading and delivery (check back for that BTS next!)

This step involves a lot of movement and attention to detail, with many hands involved leading up to this point.
It’s where everything starts to really come together!

The team must stay organized and communicative to be sure every last linen is accounted for before the rack(s) go out to the event.

Lots of bagging, lots of double checking numbers, and lots of teamwork!

We couldn’t do any of it without everyone ♥️

Napkins, napkins, napkins!

It’s another Busy Season Monday —

But today we interrupt your feed with some BTS of how our napkins are prepped 🤩

Once they are washed and cleaned of all stains, they go through a process to remove all the wrinkles similar to how the linens do (see last post).

Look at those hands at work!

Double checking for stains, damage, and anything else that requires replacement or another round in the wash room (more on that later).

Imperfection spotted, back in the bin it goes!

Here, we’re stacking sets of ten napkins for counting ease when preparing a future order.

We sure do go through a lot of napkins.

Have you ever seen an ‘iron’ this big before?

Here in the back, we have 2 of these machines going every day… to be sure we can keep up with the fast pace processing between events.

Watch as the team removes every last wrinkle and perfectly folds these freshly washed linens.

Once they come out of the wash (more on that later), they’re double checked that they’re fully dry, free of stains and just about ready for their next event.

Some of our materials require extra care and additional drying time… But eventually they all make their way in one side and out the other - with many hands at work, ensuring they’re still fit for another event.

While each part of the process inspects the linens and takes necessary steps for improvement, this is the main ‘quality control’ part of the operation.

Isn’t it so satisfying to see them go in with wrinkles and come out so fresh!? 🤭

This part may be familiar to many of you…

Here is where we show you all the possibilities you can do with our linens!

Once a linen is made (see last post), we then get to share it with you ♥️

We welcome you in to play, style, and collaboratively conceptualize your own, or your client’s, event.

We spend time with you carefully selecting and dreaming up spaces together.

We work alongside you to mix and match linens, napkins, chargers and other elements to visualize AND feel what it’ll be like to have guests seated at tables, standing at cocktail hour, and welcomed into the wedding/event space as a whole.

We know we love our linens, but is so special to see you love and connect with them too.

Starting off our BTS of Operations —

1. Join us in the upstairs sewing space where new linens are created right here in-house!

While there’s a whole process for selecting new fabrics, designs and styles for our linens… this is where the magic begins to really take shape.

2. New napkins in the making!

When an order needs additional and/or too many are stained and need replaced, we make more here 💕

This napkin featured here is Flores Pink

3. Mid-napkin making, a new order came in for a few additional Rounds in Solid Beige.

Starting from a roll of fabric, each 108” round is created with consistency (and care 🤎)

4. Making sure to use matching thread, the bobbins are swapped and the machine is ready to get to work!

These sewing machines are complex, and vary in style for different uses. Wait till you see it fired up!

5. Cool, right?

Sewing the edge of the linen to stop the fabric from fraying is very satisfying to watch 😋

It also creates a clean look that finishes it off nicely!

Now they’re ready to be washed, ironed and bagged for delivery. More on those processes soon!

Ever wondered HOW we make it all happen over here? 🤔

For the whole month of October, we will be going behind the scenes of our operations here at L’Nique. It’s busy season, and we’ve been busy!

While it takes the whole team, working in a collaborative rhythm, for production to run smoothly - each piece of the process is crucial and has its own flow…
A complex system in place to guarantee no linen is missed within an order, every item is cleaned and feels new again before it goes out, and everyone is on the same page each day.

And you may be amazed at how effortless they make it seem!

We’re breaking down what that looks like this month - so stay tuned and follow along if you’ve been curious to see what happens behind those showroom doors! ♥️
