Clifford House Bed and Breakfast

Clifford House Bed and Breakfast Private Home Bed and Breakfast I Apt Suite, 1 Suite and 1 Room in a private home. Covid 19 vaccination required.

I live here in timeless yet casual, eclectic style with Henry a loving rescue dog and Wesley the cat. Personality and character dominate, great breakfasts and a walk-able foodie and brewery neighborhood. Nice place, lived in, not the Ritz, but a cross between European and old family home I'm told. Artisan, urban area, fun, rough around the edges in parts, not sterile B&B! $138-$238/nt, weekly rates too.

Luis and Lucieny drove in from Chicago for the Egypt vs Brazil football match. Luis was born and raised around Chicago but since Luci was originally from Brazil, he had no choice in who to root for! They loved Henry and Connie, the gluten free banana nut muffins, and the breakfast in general.

Return guests of five years from California, sisters Noreen and Maria with John who enjoyed many activities with area relatives. They shared some pics with me here. Me with Henry, the vegan chick pea spinach omelet for Noreen, a vegetarian dinner they made in their Madison Apt Suite.

Bob and Maryann from Michigan have been here twice now, both times for St Ignatius High School reunions. Each year at Clifford House we host at least one alumni! There was one other this year, from Boston. They remarked on the changes this Ohio City neighborhood has gone through since Bob's school days 60 years ago. It was also a good chance for them to catch up on relatives still in the area. Homemade pierogies from at the brought back memories of Maryann's family in Parma.

Brianna and her dad, Don, took a shuttle service from Dayton to Clifford House for the start of their planned three day trip along the Erie Canal Trail back home by bike! They expected to cover 90 miles per day with an overnight in Amish Country and second stop with friends in Columbus before arriving back home in Dayton, Ohio. Don did the trip last year.

A fun group. Diane organized a women's weekend in Cleveland. She, Jodie and Theresa drove in from Rochester, NY to meet their friend Sally, formerly from Rochester, now from Kentucky. Cleveland is a midway stop and since none of them had been to Cleveland before, it was also a positive new experience. They did the river cruise, the and long walks exploring the area.

David and Pat took a road trip from Utah to Cleveland in their red bat mobile, aka Corvette. They took in the , and a game. Pat was happy to find that still had a shuttle that takes guests to and from the baseball stadium across the bridge from our neighborhood. They had other planned steps including Indianapolis, Kansas City, and Denver.

Steve and Lisa came from Oregon for a major birding event. They booked Clifford House back in December 2025. "The Biggest Week in American Birding is a premier 10-day birding festival (May 8-17, 2026) in Northwest Ohio, specifically centered around Magee Marsh and nearby Put-in-Bay. Known as the "Warbler Capital of the World," the event highlights peak spring migration, offering workshops, guided walks, and extraordinary warbler viewing."

They planned several days of activities in Cleveland including our Natural History Museum . Plus, a stop next door at the . And, nearby, a dinner at Mia Bella on .

Here in Ohio City, they praised for their duck and lamb entrees...."one of the best dinners I have had" per Steve!

It was a father daughter weekend to see the Zach Bryan concert at . James and Leah drove in from Rochester, NY...quite a journey considering dad had just landed in Rochester, returning from a work trip to
The Netherlands. They found time to visit .... and were quite impressed. They also commented on the friendly, welcoming environment at Clifford House. The long conversations with the other guests at breakfast made their trip most memorable. ❤️
