It’s a sad day for us here at Ridgely.

Despite our best efforts, we could not save our 200-year-old oak tree. Bugs and disease were too much to overcome. It’s time to come down.

She has been a guardian of this mountain long before Ridgely was built, long before the gardens were planted. And afterwards, she always framed our path, providing a majestic touch point of home.

We will miss her.

Good morning!!

It’s a beautiful day in the mountains of Virginia.

May is a fantastic time to come stay. The peonies are starting to open up all over the garden, joining the chorus of all our other flowers and trees in bloom.
And the heirloom roses close to 100 years old are almost ready to reveal themselves.

Scooby and Honey think you need a quick getaway and walk a different path for a bit.
