Acacia Lodge No. 16 had a successful Clifton Day only because of everyone's participation. The car lot parking went well because of the large turnout. We had 10-12 people taking a tour of the Lodge, including some possible prospects. And the Jobies (Job's Daughters) were parked in front of the Lodge to sell hair ties, ribbons, and Luluroe leggings for charity.

Special thanks to Triple G for making breakfast and lunch and making sure the food got to the car lot.

Thank you for all who participated in the blood drive. Acacia Lodge was able to donate 31 units of blood.

More important than raising much-needed funds for the Lodge though, was the shared experience of each Mason who participated.

Virginia Freemason, Brother Oscar Scott Woody lived in Clifton, VA., and was one of five postal clerks who perished on the Titanic when after hitting an iceberg sank on April 15, 1912. This was 113 years ago.

Oscar Scott Woody was a Freemason and was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in Acacia Lodge No. 16 in Clifton, VA. on August 30, 1903.
