Join us TOMORROW for Saturday Planetarium Activities...fun for the whole family! We'll kick things off reading "A Place for Pluto" at 12:30 PM during Star & Space Story Time, followed by planetarium show, "The Sun: Our Living Star". ☀️☀️☀️

The sun has shone on our world for four and a half billion years. The light that warms our skin today has been felt by every person who has ever lived. It is our nearest star and our planet’s powerhouse, the source of the energy that drives the winds, our weather and all life.

Celebrate International Observe the Moon Night with us at BASF Planetarium on SATURDAY, September 19 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM! We'll have lunar viewing with telescopes and binoculars, plus hands-on demonstrations and exhibits.

Join us TOMORROW at 12:15 PM in the planetarium! Enjoy a FREE, guided meditation experience with the program “Sunset Meditation” on the FIRST Wednesday of the month. View an amazing sunset as you travel from the Grand Canyon to the North Pole. Then relax under a night sky filled with stars and glimpses of the Northern Lights.

This program is approximately 30 minutes. No RSVP is required.

The hunt for other worlds is on! Scientists are hard at work looking for exoplanets, worlds beyond our solar system. What are the planets made of? Do they have atmospheres? How do we find them? Come learn how the newest space telescopes are being used to answer these questions and more.

We are CLOSED TODAY as we prepare for The Starry Night 50th Celebration tonight! This includes our lobby, Brazosport Museum of Natural Science and Brazosport Art League gallery & studio.

Stop by The Center to see the Starry Night banner on the planetarium side of the building, entirely the work of students in Brazosport Art League's Summer at The Center teen art camp in late July. Students worked together to design a banner that represented the planetarium, art gallery, museum, symphony and theater in honor of The Center's 50th anniversary! 🎨🎭🦖🚀🎼
