WE SURE DO!

We’ve had a TON of new followers lately, and we’ve also realized there are quite a few people who had no idea you can still stay if you don't have a camper or tent! So, let's give you the rundown. 👇

We have 5 cabins!

Cabins 1, 2, 4 & 5 sleep 6 people, while Cabin 3 sleeps up to 12!

They have everything you need for a simple, comfortable, and rustic getaway:

>Electricity
>Heat
>A/C
>Bunk beds with vinyl mattresses
>Table & shelf space
>Covered porch
>Your own fire pit
>Charcoal grill
>Picnic table

Whether you’re looking for a getaway with the family, a place to stay while enjoying the park, or just want to escape the everyday for a little while… our cabins make it easy!

6-person cabins — $100/night
12-person cabin — $125/night

If you're worried you missed an opportunity this year, cabins 1–4 are available YEAR ROUND, while Cabin 5 closes for the winter months.

Get ready for a day of adventure!

We’re excited to welcome back Access Ability Wisconsin to Blackhawk Lake for their annual Family Adventure Day!

The fun this year will be split between TWO days as they are featuring a new learning opportunity!

Join us Friday, September 18th from from 4:00pm to 8:00pm to kick off the Learn to Trap event. (Event details are in the flyer below!)

Join us Saturday, September 19th from Noon to 4:00 PM for an afternoon packed with outdoor fun, exploration, and activities for the whole family! ☀️

• Art in the Pines & Bluebird House Painting
•Shore fishing
•The WI DNR Fish Mobile & Hoverball
• Wildlife identification
•Test drive or hike with an outdoor wheelchair
•Food trucks, raffles & MORE!

And the best part? Admission to the park is FREE for both the trapping event Friday and the full day Saturday!

There will also be a raffle for an AAW Outdoor Wheelchair valued at $8,000 OR $3,000 cash! Tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50, with the drawing at 3:45 PM. (Tickets are for sale at the Park Office!) 🎟

To our friends that love dark skies and shooting stars... this one's for you! ⬇️

Blackhawk Lake will be going DARK the weekend of September 11th through September 13th. The lights from the beach sites all the way to the boat landing will be turned off for optimal sky viewing!

With a new moon on September 10th and the September Epsilon Perseid meteor shower peaking over the weekend, you certainly won't want to miss it! Both beach and boat landing parking lots will be open for you to kick back, relax, and enjoy the view.

We would like to clear the air... the beach is OPEN for swimming!

There have been many calls and messages over the last few weeks with concerns about the beach being closed. We're just here to say that the rumors are not true.

Blackhawk Lake complies with all state water testing and we are prompt to post any closures when needed.

If you know the two bosses around here, you probably know we're really picky. We've been staring at cabin 5 for the last few seasons, so badly wanting to do updates. It was covered in a thick paint that hid the natural wood grain and the deck needed some serious work. The problem is that there hasn't been a single time period where this cabin has been open for us to make those improvements.

This week we magically had 4 days to make it happen, and let us tell you, it was 4 FULL days of hard work. We had to strip the old paint off, pressure wash it, twice, sand the entire thing, stain the walls, and paint the deck and trim.

It was a LOT! But boy it was so worth it.
