We’ve welcomed a few new faces recently, so it felt like the right moment to say hello 👋🏼 and share a little about us.
We’re Marc & Chelsi, the husband and wife team behind Footprint by Lalonde in Cocoa Beach, Florida, where our story reflects both new beginnings and deep roots.
Marc grew up in a village about an hour from Montreal 🇨🇦 where his passion for construction was shaped through hands-on experience with family and friends. He later found his way to Florida, guided by a vision for what could be brought to life here.
Marc is the builder. The visionary. A charismatic French Canadian who has spent his life turning ideas into something real. He’s never met a construction project he wasn’t excited to take on, and he has a rare ability to stay calm, focused, and grounded no matter what’s unfolding around him.
Chelsi is a Florida native whose love for design began at age 10 and evolved into a career in landscape architecture and interior design. Her family has been part of the Space Coast for generations, dating back to the early 1900s. In the 60s, her grandfather was part of the team that launched Apollo 11. 🚀
Chelsi is the designer. The storyteller. The one constantly dreaming up ways to make each stay a little more special. She’s a firm believer that the smallest details often have the biggest impact on how a place feels.
Together, we’ve poured our love of travel, design, and meaningful hospitality into every boutique home we create.
Our goal has always been simple: create stays we’d be excited to book ourselves and share experiences guests will remember long after they’ve returned home.
