Celebrate the spirit of the Olympic Games and Compete as a team of four (beer relay) or as an individual (steinholding prelims) and prove your beer athleticism with feats of strength, stamina, coordination, skill, and luck!
Beer Relay: compete as a team of four in an obstacle relay race—the only catch is you must carry (and pass between your team members) a 1L stein of beer the entire time—without ever setting it down! Both time and amount of beer spilled will factor into final scores!
Steinholding Prelims: How long can you hold a full 1L stein of beer? Get a fast pass to the final round of our Oktoberfest Steinholding Championship on Saturday, October 9 (you'll have an edge by having a fresh arm!)

- Trails are dirt or gravel that can be rough or muddy and may be unsuitable for strollers.​

Plenty of places to see and plenty to do near our hotel in College Park, MD; the aviation museum is a great start.

When your done, just head over to DC for more; take public transportation or a car hire service to avoid parking issues... and have fun!

Established in 1943, the Women Airforce Service Pilots had over 25,000 women apply and only 7.5% were accepted. One of the women accepted, was our very own Elaine Harmon, a graduate from the University of Maryland.

On July 1st, 2009, Elaine Harmon and other veterans from the Women's Airforce Service Pilots received Congressional Gold Medals from President Barack Obama.

Come and join us on Thursday, July 1st, as we celebrate this achievement with a tour of our WASP exhibit and a create your own medal craft.

This national designation means that the City is committed to helping pollinators thrive in the City and bring awareness to urban pollinators. Our Bee City USA Committee helps this initiative including by promoting awareness of pollinators in College Park (like with our fun Pollinator Bingo game or these posts and photos).
