Compensation: Starting at $15.00 per hour with opportunities for weekly overtime at $22.50/hr up to $30/hr
Job Description
Drums Unlimited Rentals is a service company supplying rental musical instruments and related services to theaters, clubs, churches, and schools in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
You must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and be able to drive box type trucks. You must have your own reliable personal transportation to and from our College Park, MD location.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
1. Detailed checking of musical equipment for use by professionals in performance situations. You will need to develop detailed knowledge of how to set up all types of musical instruments. Including but not limited to drum sets, guitar amplifier, bass amplifiers and keyboards.
2. Maintaining equipment we have in stock.
3. Organization of stock as well as work areas.
4. Delivering and/or picking up musical instruments using company vehicles. You must be able to lift heavy equipment (Over 80 Lbs.) on continuing bases.
5. Professional communication with customers at a venue, or job site
Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 2:00pm. All employees are required to accept work out side of the regular business hours as well as work on weekends as needed. Work outside of regular business hours is compensated at a starting overtime pay rate of $22.5/hr, regardless of the number of hours previously worked in the week. On occasion you may have to stay at a venue for the duration of a performance or festival.
This is a full time position that requires a relatively open schedule especially on weekend nights.
Available benefits include health insurance, paid vacation time, and paid sick leave.

Everything's crazy and everyone wants to do things again! Pic from 2019 of things people could do!

If you want to keep doing things, PLEASE GET VACCINATED! We can't emphasize this enough. We'd love to keep serving the community and renting great gear to great venues, but we can't do that if COVID comes back. The best way to ensure it doesn't is to GET VACCINATED. Tell your friends! And given how contagious Delta is, please wear a mask too. If we work together, we can have a great fall and winter season of concerts, clubs, and good times to look forward to!
