🪖2026-2027 Leadership🪖

Howdy Marksmen! The next cadet to introduce in our 2026-2027 leadership team is our new 1st platoon leader, Ethan Seitz. Ethan is from San Jose, California, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Ethan’s goal for 1st platoon is to help enable interclass bonding, prioritize platoon physical and academic growth, and foster a tight-knight Lumberjack culture that lasts for years to come.

Congratulations to one of our own, Leonardo Lopez-Manteca, on being selected for the Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate (NUPOC) Program. Earning this contract requires passing several rounds of technical interviews demonstrating a mastery of several engineering concepts, culminating in a final interview with four-star Admiral Houston.

After graduation, Leo will attend Navy Nuclear Power and Prototype School before serving aboard a fast-attack submarine as a Nuclear Officer.

Howdy Marksmen! Our new Chaplain for the 2026-2027 year is Nicolas Martinez. He is from San Antonio,TX and is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience.

For the upcoming year Nicolas’s goal is to help every Marksman reach their highest potential by developing their mental, spiritual, and physical attributes. He wants to aim to foster growth that not only strengthens them during their time in the Corps, but also continues to benefit them long after their time.

Howdy Marksmen! Our new First Sergeant for the 2026-2027 year is Landon Schwartz! He is from Boerne, TX and is taking Financial Planning.

This year, Landon wants to help C-Battery grow into a more disciplined and effective team by fostering strong leadership, accountability, and hard work. His aim is to support and build every member so that they achieve success. Landon is aiming to have the Marksmen Bringing the Danger all summer long!

Howdy Marksmen! Our new Executive Officer for the 2026-2027 year is Nate Jennings! He is from Tyler, TX, is taking Ocean Engineering, and is contracted with the navy.

This year Nate says he wants to inspire his fellow Marksmen to be imaginative and take initiative towards improving themselves and others every day. He says he will facilitate opportunities for cadets to be challenged and learn together as a team. Nate is determined to have the Marksmen Bringing the Danger all summer long!

Howdy Marksmen! Our new Commanding Officer for the 2026-2027 year is Donovan Walden! He is from Leander, TX and is taking Electrical engineering.

This year, Donovan plans on ensuring that C-Battery is the best outfit on the quad through a collective pursuit of constant growth, meaningful relationships, and outfit member empowerment. He is making sure that C-Batt will be Bringing the Danger all summer long!

With only one week left of the semester, the Marksmen are stepping it up to finish strong.

We recently partnered with Brookshire Brothers for a canned food drive, followed by a productive afternoon out for our roadside cleanup.

Howdy Marksmen! This week’s featured Marksman is Madeline Turner. She is from Baytown, Texas and is taking Hospitality, Hotel Management, and Tourism with a focus in Hotel and Resort Management.

Madeline’s favorite Corps memory was sophomore year March to the Brazos. After graduation, Madeline plans to establish a career in the hotel industry. Keep up the good work, Madeline!
