Guests often ask how we keep our orchids healthy and encourage new growth.
• Drench, and drain. During summer, we give our orchids in the Presidential Suite a weekly shower. Winter, once or twice a month.
• Display in an area with indirect, natural bright light.
• Don’t fiddle with it too much. Orchids are snobbish. They want you to provide the perfect environment, then go away until you’re needed again. Lol

We have never shared a (prior) guest IG profile before, but she has offered to share her full itinerary to anyone who has ever dreamed of or planning to visit ALL of our State and National parks. We met her and her sister when they stayed here at Chesnut Cottage 2.5 years ago when they hiked/kayak’d Congaree National Park. Their trips are amazing and they pack so much in the time allotted! ✈️🏕️🏞️
