Two friends built a full size Stonehenge replica in the Texas Hill Country, just for fun.

In 1989, Al Shepperd and Doug Hill built Stonehenge II near Hunt, Texas using plaster and metal pipe, standing 90 percent as tall as the real thing in England. They later added two Easter Island heads because, in Shepperd's words, every yard needs a couple of them. Follow for more weird Texas spots.

The whole thing sits on land that's open to visitors for free, no ticket, no gate, just a strange slice of England out in the Hill Country.
