Make your way through the maze of bluffs & boulders to the base of the 40' waterfall where you could spend all day exploring or make your way to the famed Hemmed-In-Hollow Falls.

🐑🐑🐑 The newest members of Louie’s Farmhouse have arrived… TRIPLETS!

There’s always something happening on the farm! Our newest little lambs are settling in, Quackers is enjoying his favorite swimming hole in the creek 🦆, and Agnes is living her best life playing in the mud. 🐷

At Louie’s Farmhouse, the farm is part of the adventure. Spend your mornings visiting the animals, cool off by the creek, and then relax at the farmhouse after a day exploring the Ozarks.

We spent the last two days out exploring frozen waterfalls and even got to do a little ice skating on the Buffalo River — talk about a winter adventure! ❄️⛸️
Winter is hands-down my favorite time to hike. The trails are quiet, the views are unreal, and everything feels extra magical this time of year. There’s just something special about seeing the Ozarks in winter.
If you’ve never experienced this area in the off-season, you’re seriously missing out. Cozy cabins, peaceful hiking trails, frozen waterfalls, and beautiful river views make for the perfect getaway.

Lots happening at Louie’s Farmhouse this week! Agnes is supervising snack time, Shawn thinks he’s head of holiday security, and the rooster is patiently waiting like he’s running the snack committee. Louie and I added new chickens and ducks to the crew, and Brownie looks like she’s about to have her lamb any day now. Christmas decorations are up and ready for your holiday stay! 🎄🐓🦆🐑

Today’s hike from the cabins down to Kyle’s Landing did not disappoint!
Bluffs, sweeping Buffalo National River views, breathtaking overlooks, and even a perfect overhang for a lunch break.
It’s a 4.2-mile, one-way trek that drops from 2,245 ft to 877 ft—so we shuttled a vehicle to the bottom to skip the climb back.
