Okay, Pope Haven family… we've ALL heard this one!

Friday morning before leaving home:
“We're going to eat healthy this weekend. No junk food!” 🥗💪

Friday night at Pope Haven…

The pizza's ordered, the wings are coming, somebody's opened three bags of chips, the s'mores are ready, and now someone's heading to the store for ice cream! 🍕🍗🍦🤣

And don't even get Bandit started on Saturday morning breakfast! 🐻🥓

Bandit says, “Calories don't count when you're camping… right?” 😂

❤️ We sure do miss our camping family and all the good food that comes with camping weekends!

🍁🍂 Fall Beauty at Pope Haven Campground! 🍂🍁

Even though camping season has come to an end, Mother Nature is still putting on quite a show here at Pope Haven! ❤️

The beautiful fall colors, peaceful surroundings, and crisp autumn air make this one of our favorite times of the year. 🍁🌳

As we continue getting everything ready for winter, we couldn't resist stopping to capture a few pictures of just how beautiful the campground looks this time of year.

It's a little quieter around here without all of our campers, but the beauty of Pope Haven never takes a season off! 🏕️❤️

We sure do miss seeing everyone around the campground!

🐻🏕️ CAMPING WITH BANDIT – EPISODE #3: THE 10-MINUTE SETUP! 😂

We've ALL seen this one at Pope Haven!

You pull into your campsite on Friday afternoon, and somebody confidently announces, “Give me 10 minutes and we'll be sitting around the campfire!” 🤣

Two hours later…

The camper still isn't level, the awning isn't cooperating, somebody can't find the extension cord, and the wife has already pulled out her camping chair to supervise! 😂

Meanwhile, Bandit's just standing there wondering if they're planning on getting set up before checkout on Sunday! 🐻🤣

❤️ We sure do miss watching all these little camping adventures!

You know you're a true camper when you wouldn't dream of walking 30 feet to your neighbor's campsite… but you'll drive your golf cart around the campground for two hours just for fun! 🤣

Bandit says, "Why walk when you can ride in style?" 🐻

📅 We're working on our 2027 Camping Season Schedule, and we need YOUR ideas!

We already have some of our favorite themed weekends that have become traditions here at Pope Haven Campground, and those aren't going anywhere! ❤️

But we're always looking for ways to change things up, try something new, and make next season even more fun!

🎉 Maybe there's a themed weekend you'd love to see!

🎯 Maybe you have a fun activity, game, competition, or event we haven't tried yet!

🎶 Or maybe there's something we've done in the past that you'd love to see brought back or done a little differently!

🍂🐻 BEHIND THE SCENES AT POPE HAVEN CAMPGROUND! ❄️💦

That's a wrap! Pope Haven is officially winterized! ✅

Ever wonder what it takes to get an entire campground ready for a Western New York winter? Well, here's a little look at what happens after the campers head home! 😂

💦 Two full days of blowing out water lines!

🚰 Opening EVERY spigot in the campground at least TWICE to make sure all the water was out!

❄️ Running antifreeze through the store, laundry room, bathrooms, and showers!

🛺 Lots of running around in golf carts, checking lines, and making sure nothing was missed!

And of course, a little goofing around along the way! 🤣 After all, when you've got two days of work ahead of you, you might as well have some laughs and enjoy yourself!

👏 A HUGE thank you to Jerry and Miguel! These two helped get the job done, and we couldn't have asked for better help! Between the hard work, the joking around, and a few laughs, they made a long couple of days a whole lot more enjoyable!

Winterizing isn't exactly the glamorous side of campground life, but it's one of the most important jobs of the year. One missed water line could mean a pretty expensive surprise come spring! 😬

The campers have gone home, the season has come to an end, and you would think things would finally slow down around here...

WRONG! 🤣

Now comes the part nobody sees! Winterizing campers, putting equipment away, cleaning up, fixing everything that broke, and trying to figure out where we put half our stuff! 🔧😂

And somewhere in the middle of all that, Miguel is probably wondering what we have him doing next! 🤣

Just because the campground is closed doesn't mean the adventures stop!

Stay tuned... the off-season behind-the-scenes stories might be even better than the camping season! 🐻🏕️

Our final weekend of the season is here, and we're wrapping things up with our Drink the Bar Dry Weekend! 🍹🍺

There's nothing better than good friends, great conversations, lots of laughs, and hanging out around the fire! 🔥

Paula and I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Bandit's Bar throughout the season. You all are what make this place so special! ❤️

We've made some great memories this year, and we're already looking forward to making more next season!
