Just got back from a quick trip to open the condo for the season. This PM did the heavy cleaning - baseboards and carpet. I opened the deck, got the furniture in place, hosed away the coating of pollen. Sprayed the deck to keep those spiders away …. Lots of little stuff An HOA meeting and a drive to see the horses, beach time and dinner with friends.

Beach Parking Permits go on sale April 1st, 2026. Permits are required to park on the 4x4 beach in Corolla, NC from the second Saturday in May through the last Saturday in September (2026). All of the parking permit purchasing information is located on the Currituck County website. Please follow this link for details: https://currituckcountync.gov/beach-parking/

Beach Parking permits for the Corolla 4x4 beach are available for purchase starting April 1st. Permits are limited to 300 per week so, if you need a permit, please purchase them as soon as possible. When driving on the 4wd beach, please remember to air down, drive at a slow, safe speed, be patient and conscious of people especially children playing on the beach and for your safety and their safety, please stay at least 50 feet or more away from the wild horses. Although originally planned for the Wright Brothers Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, Dare County announced on Feb. 27 that “plans are being finalized” to relocate its signature A250 Faire event to downtown Manteo and Roanoke Island Festival Park on April 18.
