Today, we remember country music legend John Anderson , whose unmistakable voice and timeless songs touched generations.

His connection to our corner of Alabama was especially memorable. In 2010, Anderson performed at the grand opening of then, Country Crossing, here in Cottonwood, AL. There was also a cafeteria named the John Anderson’s Cafe in his honor—a local reminder of the bond between this country music legend and our community.

From “Swingin’” and “Wild and Blue” to “Seminole Wind,” his songs became part of the soundtrack of country living. We join fans throughout the Wiregrass in honoring his remarkable legacy and send our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and fellow musicians.

Rest in peace, John. Your music will live on in our hearts.
