Well the rain brought the lake up a bit, work on a new sea wall is projected to start later this week. Even with the rain the guests reported a great weekend. Some pictures Pam took and sent from her vantage point next door. A glass lake after the rain.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Memorial Day, remembering those who gave so much!
Looking forward to a busy lake season with  a few new faces, but mostly familiar one. The lake is low and storms just keep going around us. With the chance of rain, I decided to cut a beautiful peony bouquet,  I added the first roses of the year!

My family’s only lake weekend in June was nearly perfect, with the exception of the strange storm from the north on Saturday evening that sent us to shelter in town. We celebrated Vanessa‘s birthday and introduced the girls to the boat… pictures are self-explanatory on how much they loved it. Brody was catching fish as fast as his minnow was hitting the water. It’s a full house all summer, I hope the guest families have as much fun as mine. Council Grove lake Summer 2022

The fireworks were extra special this year! For me...the porch was a perfect front row seat to the neighbors display. Cole took to the water to protect the boat...turns out he had the best view!
