Ahoy Mateys!!! We've decided to do a soft walk-through this Friday, 10/30, from 7:30 to 8:30pm. Off-street parking is fine; if you park across the street at the park, please be careful crossing the street. As usual, please come in through the front driveway gate, and you will exit through the back driveway gate on Gaither Street.
We will open the gate again on Halloween night a 5pm and be going until 9:30ish. Please remember the city has a 7pm curfew in place for minors, so please be with them if they are still out trick-or-treating after then to ensure they are able to enjoy their evening.

During the weekend of October 23 through October 25, 2026, please expect an increase in pedestrian traffic in our downtown area as local merchants will be holding a Vampire Diaries fan appreciation weekend plus there will be a local 5K and the Covington FUMC's Change the World Day.

🔸FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2026
Vampire Diaries episodes will be shown on the Square from 6 PM to 10 PM. Bring a blanket or chair and watch a few episodes from the TVD universe that include Covington (a.k.a. Mystic Falls) as the backdrop!

🔸SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2026: ROAD CLOSURES
🚧The Vampire Run 5K will start at Legion Field and make its way through downtown Covington starting at 8:30 AM. Roads will close along the route by 8 AM. To view the race map, please visit https://raceroster.com/events/2026/111982/vampire-run-2026-season-7 and scroll to the bottom of the page. The route includes Newton Drive, Dearing Street, Thompson Avenue, Conyers Street, Floyd Street, College Avenue, and Anderson Avenue and will impact any side streets coming into those streets. The roads should reopen by 9:45/10 AM.

🚧The First United Methodist Church's Change the World Day is from 11 AM-2 PM. Conyers Street in front of Covington FUMC will be closed for this event (open to the community).

Please be aware of increased pedestrian traffic in the downtown area and proceed with caution. Have a great weekend, Covington.

It's getting close! Here is the schedule of events for the 2026 Vampire Run, presented by Vampire Stalkers/Mystic Falls Tours and powered by Piedmont Newton Hospital. We created a printable graphic for you as well.

It's going to be so much fun. This year there are also about 40 vendors. There will also be some food trucks on site. Be sure to find some time to donate to the Blood Drive as well - LifeSouth Community Blood Centers will be on site Friday and Saturday.
