What a weekend. 🌲

We just wanted to take a minute to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to the mountain and spent the weekend with us.

Between the pony-drawn carriage rides, the beautiful chaos of the golf cart rodeo, and an incredible set from local celebrity Alexis Bradford, it was definitely one for the books.

It is always so good seeing everyone just slow down, gather around a fire, and enjoy the simple things together. That really is what it's all about.

Looking ahead, we’ve got plenty more good times on the calendar:

June 20: Our big Father’s Day Celebration 🏕️

Who else is ready for 🤞🏼the first truly beautiful weekend of the year? 🐻☀️🌲

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the mountain, and it looks like next weekend (May 15-17) is finally going to be that "first nice weekend" we’ve all been waiting for!

The sun is expected to be out, and the mountain air is finally warming up just in time to get the season started right.

Because this is the weekend before the Memorial Day rush, it’s a "Quiet Weekend" at Tanglewood. With no scheduled activities, it is the absolute best time to enjoy the lake in total peace before the holiday crowds arrive.

It’s the perfect weekend for:
• 🎣 Finding a quiet spot for catch-and-release fishing on the lake.
• 🛶 Taking the paddle boats out for a slow spin.
• 🔥 Enjoying a campfire without the holiday hustle.
• 🌲 Just soaking up that fresh mountain sunshine.

Mother's Day isn't just about the flowers or the breakfast—it's about the moments we share and the memories we make with the women who hold our families together. 🐻🌸

The forecast might be calling for a little liquid sunshine to start the weekend, but we think that is exactly what Mom ordered! Let’s be honest: a rainy Saturday at Tanglewood is the absolute perfect excuse for Mom to completely unplug. There is zero guilt about sleeping in, listening to the rain tap on the RV roof, and taking a well-deserved nap while the kids play board games.

Plus, we are keeping things cozy indoors! Here is what we have planned exclusively for our campers staying with us this weekend:

• 💐 The Flower Bar Saturday: We are setting up a special "Flower Bar" from Special Occasions by Nancy Furlong right inside the Lodge! Come pick out some beautiful blooms to brighten up her day.

• 🥞 Cozy Breakfast Sunday: Join us inside the warm, dry Lodge for a delicious morning meal. To celebrate her special weekend, breakfast is completely FREE for all Moms!

And the best part? The sun is supposed to come out just in time for Mother's Day on Sunday! ☀️ We are hoping for a beautiful, clear day to take a peaceful walk by the lake and soak up the fresh mountain air before heading home.

We've loved seeing so many generations of families gather around our campfires over the years. To celebrate this weekend, we want to hear your stories.

🏕️ Welcome to the 2026 Season at Tanglewood Camping! 🏕️

Today is the day—opening weekend is officially here, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome you back to the woods!

This year, it’s all about the memories we’re going to make. We're talking about those slow, quiet mornings with a hot cup of coffee, the sound of the screen door slamming as the kids run out to play, and the late-night laughs shared around a crackling campfire. Those are the moments that stick with us long after summer fades.

Mark and the team have been working hard to get the grounds ready so you can focus on what really matters: unplugging, unwinding, and spending quality time with your favorite people.

Whether you’re here to cast a line, do a little birdwatching, or just sit back and soak in the fresh air, we are so glad you’re here to share the season with us.

Just a reminder that our booking calendar is open and weekends are starting to fill up. If you’ve been dreaming of campfire smells and quiet mornings by the water, now is the time to snag your favorite spot!

🏠 New for 2026: The Lake View House
Our brand-new cabin is officially available to book on our site! We’re still putting the finishing touches on it, so photos are coming soon—but you can grab your dates now to be one of the first to enjoy that view.
