This year, we decided to switch it up for the location of our campout. Radix Quarries in Joplin was the ideal spot with so many fishing and camping areas. And the boys got to enjoy the side by sides as well! A few of them caught some fish and we cooked them on the grill for dinner! The weather turned out great and the kids (and dads) had a blast! We even retired a few flags that were folded at the previous meeting 🏕️🇺🇸

The year's last formal meeting was held, where the proper flag-folding technique was demonstrated, and the correct way to retire a flag was discussed, with plans to retire several flags at the upcoming campout. We also worked on our own flag ceremony for the banquet. We sure hope you can attend!

Since the kids enjoyed the day camp last year, we are planning on going again! It's a dinosaur theme this year! We are planning to go Saturday, June 6th at Westside Stone in Springfield. Times haven't been posted but unlike last year, parents will be allowed to go or drop off. We will be down 2 leaders, so we won't be able to car pool from Aurora. (Parents/kids can still car pool though). We will provide a sack lunch and drinks. Please wear comfy clothes and shoes! This is not a mandatory event, but the boys loved it last year!

Our next campout is next Saturday, May 16th at Radix Quarries Joplin Stone in Joplin, MO! We will provide the food and tents, but please bring chairs, life jackets and sleeping accessories. We hope to do some fishing too, so please bring a pole. We will have extras though. Only 1 parent per child can stay overnight.
