Downstairs at the Inn, the Yard Office Lounge is hiring.

Kitchen Manager — $17/hr
Lead Bartender — starting at $12/hr plus tips
Service Assistant — starting at $10/hr plus tips

If you've been on the porch on a Friday night, you know where the stairs go: the 1904 Men's Bar, cherry backbar, tile floor, pizza oven running, a bar that looks today about the way it did when MO Tower was still directing train traffic. It's a great room to work in.

Thursday through Saturday. Local applicants welcome — you don't need to know a manifest from an intermodal to pour a good Old Fashioned.

J. Alex Lang (that’s me!) and Julie Fether had a wonderful day out on the East Broad Top Railroad today! Julie is one of our artists in residence at the Inn and is also the archivist for the EBT. We rode train No. 1 behind Mikado #16 and then did the shop tour and had a great lunch. Plus I got a tour of the archives - the EBT has a trove of original documents from throughout its history. Just under an hour and a half away from Cresson, the EBT is a gem that you absolutely must visit. Thanks Julie for the great day!

July 15 is "Tom Davis Day", where we take a moment to remember Tom as not only the founding Innkeeper of the Inn, but also as a teacher, mentor, and rail enthusiast. On this date in 2023, the 30th Anniversary of The Station Inn, we held a superb block party on Front Street, and the Cresson Borough - Cambria County honored the day as "Tom Davis Day". The proclamation is proudly displayed in The Yard Office Lounge in our basement. Here are a few of our favorite images of Tom from over the years.
