Captain Edward Beckwith mapped the Gunnison Valley in 1853. Twenty years later, Isabella Bird rode through it alone on horseback, in winter, just because she wanted to. She rode 800 miles through the Colorado Rockies. She made friends with outlaws. She climbed fourteeners. She wrote letters to her sister that became the beloved book, “A Lady’s Life in the Rocky Mountains.”

The event was headlined by Crested Butte’s own Mountain Jam and sponsored by Rosaluna Mezcal, and it’s safe to say good times were had by all. Join us today as we celebrate the world premiere of Matchstick Productions’ newest film, The Way Out! We’re kicking things off on the José Patio with a FREE CONCERT from Mountain Jam: An Allman Brothers Revival, presented by Elevation Hotel & Rosaluna.
