If youā€™re like us you probably think staying in a glamping dome sounds awesome, Iā€™ll be the first to tell you, it is. Although, if you disagree, weā€™ve got you covered with traditional tent camping also! We call them our ā€œrustic sitesā€, these you have to backpack into and are tucked neatly along the Mississippi River. Great for anyone who wants the simple life of a weekend in the woods. We had everyone ā€œchippingā€ in the other day to make more progress out on our disc golf course, it gets better daily at the river! Here we were chipping all the extra brush along the outskirts of the fairways to make our basket zones all covered with wood chips and to help clean up the woods for those throws that just donā€™t go where you thought they would.

Not a lot to share this morning except the good news that we're still standing and there are fresh fire crews from all around the state here in the area working to get this thing under control. At this point, they say that no homes have been destroyed (a few have melted siding) and there have been no injuries or fatalities, praise the Lord! What a testament to these brave people out working to contain the fire. We've been reflecting this Sunday morning on the fact that complete strangers will come to protect life and property at a moment's notice, with no benefit to self. What a gift. We live in a great nation.
