2PM Tropical Update: Tropical Depression Five has developed across the northwestern Gulf this afternoon. It will continue to move away from the local area and no significant impacts are expected. The chances of redevelopment from the remnants of TS Dolly continue to decrease is currently given a near zero chance of redevelopment.

Good morning friends,
I had a nice conversation with Rob at the Dauphin Island post office this morning. Here’s what I found out:
Everyone will need to get online and rent a post office box prior to their arrival. It should be approximately $40 plus a key deposit. The phone number for Rob is 251–8 61–2702.
Rob told me that when you have packages shipped, you will use the physical address of the post office (423 LaVente, Dauphin Island) and then the # of your PO Box following the street address of the post office. But do not use the word PO in the address. So example 423 La Vente #108.
Rob told me that you can rent the smallest post office box available as he will put a yellow slip indicating a package for you. He said that there are plenty of boxes to accommodate everyone. He said hold off renting a box until you get closer to your arrival, about one week. He will be able to accept all UPS and FedEx packages at the post office using the method that I described above. If you have a PO Box, he will hold the packages for as long as the PO Box is rented.
If you were only staying for one month or less, you can get general delivery, but if you are there for longer than 30 days, you must purchase a post office box and address your mail accordingly.
