The new Jellyfish is going in the kiln! The semi-translucent head will slump down onto the body during the fusing ( I hope!). I’m really nervous about that!! 🫣😑 And, given what happened last time, this will be a very slow fuse and cool down. See you in a couple days!

Meantime back on the new Jellyfish…this is going in a whole new direction! Same, but different feel. I’m excited again. 😅

A few more tweaks with color and I think I’ll be ready to fire the Sea Turtle. Very nervous now though after the Jellyfish break!

And sometimes we fail. 🥲 But we learn from our mistakes, right? This was a very expensive mistake in $ and time! 🥲 Moving forward…

Playing around with pieces and parts I made for the Jellyfish.

The sea turtle is still in work, and moving slowly, in true turtle fashion, lol. Also in work, during this time will be a Jellyfish, and a colorful fun fish. In the meantime, I’m about to make some melted glass sheet in the kiln, and pull some glass tentacles with torches.

I’m happy to announce that the wave is finished firing and I think it looks great! There are some small things I would change if I were to make another. But, they are aesthetic values, not structural, or technical.
So, I think I’ll just leave it as is for now, and move on into the rest of the series. I actually really love it as is. It’s my favorite new favorite. 😍

Switching gears on the Sea Turtle. Decided that I need to get the background down first. I had a vibrant blue just begging to be used. 😅

In the meantime, while I work on the Sea Turtle in the background, this Ocean Wave is going into the kiln! I actually have four 12 x 12 glass pieces in work at the same time!
