Another big announcement from The Mouse. Carousel is closing on July 6th to be brought up to date, the article is worth a read, looks like we'll be starting in the 60s when it reopens. No more marvelling at washing machines and refrigerators so make the most of it while you can, and there will always be countless videos on YouTube.

One thing that mustn't change...the possibility of a 20 minute nap in the cool air conditioned theatre.

Florida looks completely normal on a map until you realize it’s basically a giant tropical sandbar dangling into hurricane water with millions of people casually living on it every day. 🌴🌊💀

From space, Florida almost doesn’t even look real:
• emerald coastlines
• bright turquoise water
• endless wetlands
• tiny island chains
• massive cities
• rocket launch sites
• and enough coastline to keep boats, beach traffic, and sunburns permanently employed. 😭

One part of the state feels like the Deep South.
Another feels Caribbean.
Another feels like a retirement resort mixed with a wildlife documentary.

Meanwhile somewhere in the Everglades:
🐊 an alligator is floating motionless
🐍 a python is swallowing something illegal
🦟 mosquitoes are preparing for battle
and a thunderstorm is forming for absolutely no reason.

Florida really said:
“What if we built giant cities directly beside swamps, hurricanes, lightning storms, and prehistoric wildlife…”

…and somehow people loved it so much the population exploded anyway. 🌴☀️

From Pensacola to Key West, this state is:
• beaches
• marshes
• mangroves
• springs
• traffic
• palm trees
• seafood shacks
• airboats
• lightning
• and pure controlled chaos stitched together by highways and humidity. 💀

And honestly?
That’s exactly why Florida has its own identity.

Beautiful.
Wild.
Humid.
Unpredictable.
Slightly unhinged.

But never boring. 🌊🐊☀️
