Being a Camp Classen counselor is not a summer job in the traditional sense. It is one of the most attentive, demanding, and genuinely rewarding roles we know of.

Our counselors spend every day learning who the children in their care actually are, meaning what lights them up, what makes them nervous, what they need to feel safe and seen.

They celebrate the wins that no one else notices. They check in on the kids who seem fine but might not be. They stay.

We are incredibly proud of our team. And we think the families who send their children to Camp Classen should know exactly what kind of people are walking alongside them all summer.

Not every great camp moment is loud. Some of the most memorable ones happen out on the lake, where the water is calm and the only thing on your child's mind is where they want to go next.

Canoeing at Camp Classen gives kids the kind of quiet freedom that is genuinely hard to find anywhere else and the space to move at their own pace, explore on their own terms, and simply enjoy being somewhere beautiful.

Camp Classen's Leadership Program is designed for campers ages 15-16 who are ready for something more than a regular camp session.

This is where older campers step into a genuine role of guiding others, taking on real responsibility, and discovering what they are capable of when someone else is counting on them.

It is one of the most meaningful summers we offer, and the campers who experience it tend to say the same thing: it changed how they see themselves.

Leadership sessions are available May 31 through July 11 at $1,500/ 2-week session.

This is where it all begins. The moment your child walks through those gates, they are in the care of people who genuinely want them here.

People who will learn their name before lunch. Who will notice how they are doing and check in. Who will make sure that the first day (which we understand is often the hardest) ends with your child feeling like they belong.
