May 2026 Bluffside Gardens update! The Alliums, Peonies, and irises are in blooming and we just had DBk excavating come in and clear out two acres of extreme Buckthorn! Now the area is planted in wildflowers and an internal trail project is finishing up that will connect the bruening additon to Culvers! Love the rain that came today, these flowers are going to be magical in about a month and a half!

All the big purple 💜 balloons! These are some of our absolute favorites! Allium season is here, we have hundreds of giant alliums all emerging right now! Also big news we have emergence on pur zinnia fields so in about a month we will have huge amounts a blooms and open up for you pick!

Peony season is about to hit at Bluffside! As the daffodils fade our peonies, Iris and Allium are stepping up and about to take their place in a big way!

All coming together ❤️

It took three years to get these plants mature enough to put on a show at the same time! Lots of blooms, next up the peonies and allium will take over in a BIG way!

Redbud season is here! We have 20 Redbud trees surrounding our circle lawn, inspired by Iowa States Central campus in spring! Still lots of daffodils blooming but the iris and alliums are coming soon!
