This weekend Leanne and I had a work/stay at the Cozy Cottage. With the wet spring and me being laid up, her and I hadn’t had a chance to get weeds pulled, and flowers planted. After two days of hard work we got it all done! The best part of the weekend was a couple stopped by from Chanhassen Minnesota. Twenty years ago on our front porch in the swing that still hangs there, Matt proposed to Kellie. They stopped by and wondered if they could just sit in that swing one more time. Such a beautiful couple and we are so happy they stopped and shared their story with us.

Good morning friends and guests! It’s a rainy but beautiful Saturday. Today is Derby Day. Do you have your hats ready?
I jumped on to share a few more pictures of our beautiful home. The last batch I shared were of the main level. These next ones are featuring the two bedrooms and bathroom up stairs and then we have an “old” but not the worst basement where our washer/dryer is located. We have put carpet remnants down there along with an extra place for kids/adults to hang out equipped with some toys. Hope you enjoy…

Our beautiful home in Decorah, Iowa is getting booked up fast for the summer/Fall. Check it out and plan a trip to the beautiful Driftless Bluff Country that has so many things to offer. Kayaking/tubing the Upper Iowa River, mountain biking trails, regular biking trails around the city, trout fishing, eagles nests, Dunning Springs, Palisades Park, Mabes Pizza, breweries (Toppling and Goliath, Pulpit Rock, Convergence Cider House, Pivos,) coffee shops and many many quaint shops on the Main Street! Don’t forget the awesome Fatners Market on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Our home sleeps 8 people and is an excellent location to downtown. Just make a plan!
