Brumidi Lodge 1VP Daniel Calise delivered some of the sauce and pasta donations from Brumidi Lodge members and friends in support of Brother and Councilman Manetta’s 9th Annual Pasta & Sauce Drive.

Thanks to those who donated for their generosity and thanks to Anthony Manetta for running this important food drive.

The evening included a dazzling performance and presentation by Danielle Marie Fusco, the initiation of five new members, a culture and heritage segment on Italian Literature by Brumidi’s authors, and updates on the Lodge and the Order.

Continuing the celebration of Italian Heritage Month. Today we celebrated with ‘A Taste of Italy’ in conjunction with Suffolk County Exec. Ed Romaine and the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Community Engagement.

The event commemorated America’s 250th Anniversary and celebrated Italian contributions to 250 years of American Independence.

This year’s honorees were the namesakes of each of the NYS OSDIA District 1 Lodges. Representatives from each Lodge were presented with Proclamations.

45 Italian Class Students from Longwood High School were in attendance.

The event included information regarding the planned Suffolk County Italian American Museum.

Entertainment and a food tasting topped off an amazing celebration!

Please note that the 2026 Annual Gift of Sight Awards Luncheon has been rescheduled following the recent storm.
The luncheon will now take place on Sunday, November 22, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Captain Bill’s Bayview House, 122 Ocean Avenue, Bay Shore, NY.
This year’s honorees are Dr. David Y. Rhee and Chairperson Emeritus Mary Naccarato. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating their well-deserved recognition.
If you plan to attend, please contact your Lodge President so your name can be included with the lodge’s attendee list. Please respond by November 10, 2026. Reservations are also open to those who could not attend on the original date.
