Campground Crier 4-16-19

Campers,

I know everyone is looking forward to a great 2019 Camp Season! The campground is full but we have held 2-3 overnight spaces which will be primarily used for friends and family of campers.

All campers have signed the 2019 campground agreements which states the conditions and rules for Lakeside Campground. Please make sure you are familiar with the guidelines especially, QUIET HOURS, PET RULES, AND THE SPEED LIMIT- 5MPH.

There are many small children in the campground (including my three grandchildren) and campers must take extra care when driving a vehicle or golf cart. Additional signage will be going up but some campers must use additional caution.

The state will be doing the dock inspection on the week of April 23rd and their report will be submitted shortly after their inspection. All repairs to docks must be made within 30 days of notice. The state wants to bring uniformity to the docks so repairs or new docks should be done with materials and guidelines approved by the camp manager (Dan).

Please take an opportunity to introduce yourself to new campers especially if they are your neighbors. Lets continue to make Lakeside a great, family friendly, place to relax and enjoy!

It is pretty rare for us but the Lake is currently frozen all the way across, though fairly thin away from the bank.

There are rednecks everywhere. Even in New England where I'm doing a show tonight! :

-if you've ever cracked crab legs with your shoe.
-if you've been to the emergency room more than three times to have a fishhook removed.
-if you would give up your house instead of your boat.
-if you've ever tried to drown a fish.
-if you've ever valet parked a snowplow.
-if you're raising a lobster in your bathtub.
-if you think Surf & Turf is watching TV on the front lawn.
