Consider this your local intel. 📍

From a morning of movement with Rive Pilates to an afternoon spent wandering and an evening back downtown, there’s plenty to love about Des Moines.

A few of our favorite ways to spend a day in the city, according to Surety.

Save this one for your next visit.

Meet the building. 🏛️

For more than a century, this corner of downtown Des Moines was known as the Hippee Building. And while a lot has changed over the years, much of what makes it special is still here. From the original details outside to the little pieces of history you'll find throughout the hotel.

Today, we're lucky enough to call it Surety. A place to check in, pull up a chair, meet an old friend, or make a new one.

We like to think the building has always had a story to tell. We're happy to be part of its next chapter.

October settles in a little differently here.

Slower mornings. Longer evenings. Warm light, good drinks, and the kind of corners you want to stay in a while longer.

A good day to be downtown.

A little wandering, a little lingering, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile. Surety right in the middle of it.

Make a little room for yourself.

R+R Ritual returns to Surety on October 18 for an afternoon of movement, breath, rest, and reset.

Your reset looks like:

🌾 A wheatgrass toast with The Wheatgrass Girl

🧘🏼‍♀️ 45 minutes of mat Pilates with Rive Pilates

😌 An hour of sound healing with Resonate Healing

🔮 A curated gift bag, including a crystal bundle to take a little of the ritual home with you

Ready for a reset? Find tickets on the Surety Hotel website at the link in our bio.
