We also wanted to show the Destin Water Taxi because it’s a great way to get around the Harbor to shops, restaurants & bars from our neighborhood on Holiday Isle in Destin. A lot of people were worried this weekend would be a washout but it’s been absolutely gorgeous! We took the day off from our home beach and came down to Norriego Point Beach Park for the day. These swimming coves are so chill and the perfect place to set up and swim, snorkel or just relax🩵

Yesterday we visited Fort Pickens in Pensacola, and I’m so glad we did! Such a cool piece of history right here in the Florida Panhandle. 🇺🇸

The fort was built in the 1800s to protect Pensacola Bay and the Pensacola Naval Yard, and it was actually used during the Civil War and continued to serve as a military fort for many years after that. Walking through the massive brick fort, tunnels, and old rooms and was fascinating.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Pensacola area. Oh! And the drive along the Gulf Islands National Seashore to get there is beautiful too! 🌊☀️

We Visited Sandos Beachside Tiki Bar yesterday!🍹It’s a great little rooftop tiki bar with half off lots drinks for their happy hour, 3-5pm. We had the Mai Tai, Hula Girl & a mocktail called the Smugglers Brew. It’s a great little stop just a few miles down the road from Home Sea Home!
The bottom half is a sandwich & coffee shop making it a perfect stop when you’re spending some time on Old 98 in Destin at some of our beautiful public beach parks!🩵
