With spaces designed for socializing, creating, eating, drinking, and relaxing, we will bring together world travelers and neighbors and showcase Detroit’s legacy and knack for innovation. This Halloween, we’re turning down the lights and turning up the intrigue at the Apparatus Room.

Sheer & Shadow Soirée brings a night of live art, custom cocktails, and a little after-dark indulgence, with music from Pretty Wrcklés and shadows brought to life through projection art by Ashanti Africana of Naaz Lab.

Sheer, lace, satin. Dress accordingly.

We’re making a whole weekend out of the Detroit Free Press Marathon with We Run 313, and you’re invited.

🏃‍♀️ Friday: Kick things off at the Apparatus Room with cocktails, race-day talk, and good company.

🏃 Saturday: Shake out those pre-race nerves with an easy morning run alongside We Run 313.

🏃‍♂️ Sunday: The main event! Cheer on your favorite runners from Detroit Foundation Hotel, make a sign to show your support, grab brunch at the Apparatus Room, and recharge with hydration sessions from our friends at Veda Hydration.

This installment features Detroit artists Tryst and Gābi, exploring memory, emotion, concealment, and the space between what we experience and what we remember.
