🍎 Okay, apple people.

Apple season is here in the Blue Ridge, and the trees are loaded.

Around here, this is the time of year for orchard stops, roadside stands, fresh c***r, and buying an unreasonable number of apples because somehow they all looked necessary at the time.

We have our favorites, but now we’re curious…

What’s the apple you’re reaching for first? 🍎
Honeycrisp? Pink Lady? Fuji? Granny Smith? Something local we need to try?

Long weekend loading… 🌲

Not sure who needs to hear this, but you do not have to accomplish anything this weekend.

Go somewhere pretty. Eat something good. Sit outside too long. Let the dog get dirty. Stay up late. Sleep in.

Where are we finding you?

A. Beside the creek with a book you may or may not actually read 📖
B. In the hot tub with a drink, refusing to get out ♨️
C. Exploring a trail with the dog leading the way 🐾
D. On the porch watching for deer like it’s a competitive sport 🦌
E. Inside, under a blanket, enjoying the fact that everyone thinks you came here to be outdoors 😂

We have a feeling there are a lot of B’s and E’s around here.

🍂 We have an announcement to make.

Summer, you’ve been great.

But we’re ready to see other seasons.

We’re ready for hoodies.
We’re ready for leaves crunching under our feet.
We’re ready for chilly nights that make a hot tub feel necessary instead of indulgent.
We’re ready for campfires without sweating beside them.
And we are definitely ready for the Blue Ridge Mountains to start showing off. 🍁

September is here, which means our favorite time of year is just around the corner.

If you’ve never spent a fall weekend tucked away in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, perhaps this is the year you fix that.

There’s something about fall in the Blue Ridge Mountains that makes you want to slow down a little.

Tucked into the trees, The Bee Hive is made for exactly that — crisp mountain air, colorful leaves, quiet mornings with coffee, and evenings spent soaking under the stars.

No schedules. No traffic. Just a cozy yurt in the woods and a good excuse to disappear for a couple of days.

Meet the unofficial management team.
On National Dog Day, we thought it was time to introduce the unofficial management team. 🐾

They don’t answer messages.
They’re terrible at making beds.
And we absolutely cannot trust them with the booking calendar.

But when it comes to finding the best swimming holes, testing the trails, inspecting the grass, and determining whether a porch is suitable for an afternoon nap… they take their jobs very seriously.

Around here, dogs are part of the family — and part of the adventure.

So it only seems appropriate that you meet a few of the four-legged members of the crew behind Burton’s Yurts & Tents. 🌲

They’ve thoroughly tested these mountains.

They approve. 🐾
