We talk a lot about Dunsmuir and the Shasta area as a place to slow down – but it’s also a place to get your heart pumping with adventure!

Our friends at River Dancers Whitewater Rafting run whitewater trips (for all ages!) on one of Northern California's most beautiful stretches of river, and it’s right in our own backyard. Spend the day cruising down fun rapids and riffles, and enjoying long deep pools for swimming and water play, relaxation, and wildlife viewing. They also offer fishing trips on the Klamath, Trinity, and Upper and Lower Sacramento rivers.

Downtown will feature live music, food, crafts and tours of the Railroad museum.

Some of the *best* history will be found here at Jubilee Railroad, with “Across the Tracks,” our brand new railroad history audio tour! Explore the grounds through a collection of stories, memories, and voices connected to this remarkable land. From steam locomotives and Pullman porters to Indigenous histories, mountain waters, and forgotten railroad relics, each stop reveals another layer of the landscape.
